my mom and i live in a one bedroom apartment near the cities of minnesota. our summers can get up to a hundred degrees with humidity on an average day, and while it’s cooling down, it’s still incredibly hot here.
-we are not allowed to use our air conditioner because it costs a hundred a month
-my mom recently lost her job due to not being strong enough (she’s 60)
-i’ve been off my part time job for about a week due to being sick (i’ll send you a doctors note of mine if you need proof) and so the next paycheck two weeks out from today will be incredibly low. our paycheck this time was less than $200 for two adults and a cat
-we currently have $85 in our account
-we have no food money until the first of october
-we have to pay our phone bills, internet bills, the rest of our electricity bill, car insurance, and need to get gas before that
-we’re very close to out of food for the next week or two
-our rent is $865. our apartment building does NOT accept part time payments and our emergency assistance will not help us because we have to pay other bills (yes. seriously. we have been taken to court before because they’ve fucked us up so bad) and because there’s no “children in the house” (i just turned eighteen)
